Why is this group beneficial?

1. Enhanced Emotional Regulation

  • Nature offers a calming environment that reduces stress and anxiety, which helps children become more aware of their emotions and better able to regulate them.

  • Mindfulness practices and activities in outdoor settings can lower cortisol levels and promote relaxation, improving children's capacity to cope with frustration and challenges.

2. Development of Self-Awareness

  • Mindfulness encourages reflection and awareness in the present moment, helping children become more conscious of their thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations, supporting the mind-body connection, which is essential for healthy child development.

  • Self-awareness fosters better decision-making, empathy, and a sense of responsibility.
